What people say about (Crystal Springs Golf Course)

Crystal Springs Golf Course is honestly a fantastic spot for a round of golf! The course is in amazing shape with lush fairways, smooth greens, and the layout keeps things interesting from start to finish. Every hole has its own little challenge. The views are gorgeous too, with nature surrounding you as you play. The staff especially Jessica, Mike, Alex, and Brian are super friendly and makes you feel right at home, which is always a plus. The pub is super chill if you want to warm up before hitting the course. The food is amazingly delicious! It’s just a great vibe all around, and you can tell they really take care of the place. If you’re looking for a solid course with beautiful scenery and a relaxed atmosphere, Crystal Springs is definitely worth checking out. It’s one of those places where you’ll want to come back again and again!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the Best Golf Experiences in the Bay Area Crystal Springs Golf Course is a true gem — hands down one of the most enjoyable rounds I’ve played in a long time. From tee box to green, the course is immaculately maintained. Lush fairways, smooth rolling greens, and beautifully framed holes make every shot feel rewarding. There’s a great mix of par 3s, 4s, and 5s, offering both challenge and variety without being punishing. The views are absolutely breathtaking — with the Sierra Azul mountains on one side and Crystal Springs Reservoir on the other, it’s hard to imagine a more scenic place to tee it up. It feels like you’re golfing in a nature preserve. The staff is amazing — warm, professional, and genuinely accommodating. From check-in to the 18th hole, the customer service was top notch. A particularly nice touch: they have a beer-cart girl, something I usually only see at higher-end private clubs — it elevated the whole experience. The pace of play was excellent, and the course was not even close to over-crowded. You can tell there's great on-course management keeping things moving smoothly without ever feeling rushed. Bonus: it's perfectly located between San Jose and San Francisco, which makes it an easy and scenic drive no matter where you’re coming from on the Peninsula or South Bay. All in all, I had an absolute blast. I’ll definitely be returning — many times over — in the coming months and years. Crystal Springs is everything you want in a public course and more. Highly recommend!

3 things you need to pay attention to when playing at Crystal Spring, first, big big chunk of trees everywhere, you need to make sure you aim correctly, otherwise they send your ball back for few yards, hah. 2nd, the greens here are brutal, fast and hard to read, need to spend more time reading the lines, otherwise you'll easily 3 putts. 3rd, the fairways here are long, hit it hard. Hole 6 and 10 are similar, both surely fun and challenging ones, big down slope and dog leg left, really need to drive your first shot well to lay up for your second. Hole 12 is another fun one, your 2nd shot is facing a 40ft uphill, plus Hole 15 is a 270 yards short par4, try getting at least a birdie here 😊 I did enjoy the mountain view here buy I don't know if I will pay 90 bucks "hot deal" to play here again while you only need to pay 70 at the Wente vineyard course.
