What people say about (The Club at Los Gatos)

Stef C

I paid $336/month for a “premium” membership at The Club at Los Gatos since last year. After experiencing repeated surveillance and harassment from their brand-new General Manager (who decided stalking me while I workout and gossiping about my personal life was part of his job), I filed a harassment complaint. Days later? They revoked my membership. Still charged me for the month. When I went in person to ask why, staff refused to even show me any paperwork. They did not offer a refund until I reached out to demand it, otherwise they would have kept my full payment. For a club that wants to look luxury, they sure move like a shady operation when you dare stand up for yourself. It’s a textbook retaliation move and I’m pursuing this through California Civil Rights and consumer protection channels. No woman, no person deserves to be policed, stalked, and then locked out for using their voice. After I spoke up, they even tried to twist the situation by claiming I was receiving free training, which is completely false. I never solicited or asked for training at this club, and I have my own trainer elsewhere. It was just another attempt to cover up retaliation. If you want to pay $336 a month to be policed, stalked, and then banned for speaking up, this is the place. Otherwise protect your peace and wallet and run far, far away. Usually I don’t leave negative reviews, but I believe the public deserves to know how this business treats members and especially women who stand up for themselves.

When we first joined The Club Los Gatos, we loved it. The facility felt really nice and intimate, and everything they offered seemed worth it. But as the club got busier and added more members — especially after they raised their prices — the experience started to go downhill. We honestly expected better improvements with the price increase, but instead, we felt like it wasn’t really worth it anymore. If you’re mainly joining for the classes, it’s still a pretty good spot, just know that the classes can get very crowded. If you care more about the gym floor and machines, you might be disappointed — there isn’t much variety compared to other gyms in the area. One last thing — cancelling our membership was a hassle. Everything had to go through email support, and even the Membership specialist who signed us up couldn’t help us cancel or even give us information about our questions and kept redirecting us to email support which takes a very long time to get back. Then, when we emailed support, they completely ignored parts of our message, which was frustrating. I had some held backs from leaving TCLG mostly because they were the closest gym with child care. But after the poor communication we decided to cancel instead of freezing our account. We had some good times there, but overall, we left like the facility does fully focus on their members the best way to word how we felt was that we felt like dollar signs in their eyes. No genuine acts they gave made us feel like it was worth the amount we were paying

I had a very disappointing experience with The Club at Los Gatos. I received an email from the general manager accusing me of breaching their guest policy by bringing my wife without purchasing a guest pass. The problem? I'm not married to a woman. I immediately responded to clear up the misunderstanding, but despite multiple follow-ups, I never received a reply. It's incredibly frustrating to be wrongly accused and then completely ignored when trying to resolve the issue. I expected better from a club that prides itself on community and service. If you're considering joining, I'd recommend looking elsewhere unless you're okay with being wrongly accused and left without any support.
