Porterville Municipal Golf Course

I think this is a great golf course! It only has 9 holes but the staff keep the greens nice and level, the staff are always happy to assist your needs. As well, the other locals on the course, (players), are very courteous to play with. Their public bathrooms were nice and clean. And the overall course was well maintained. Thanks p-ville golf crew and fellow golfers for a good experience and for presenting us a golf course that's worth playing, AND in town! Also,..I like the driving range and the practice golf putting range out by the main office. A nice warmup before I get serious. (:

Nice course. Great prices! Only issue was they had a tournament, so it was busy as heck! We got there early, but still had to skip multiple holes to get ahead of the tournament...

Wife and I have had a family membership here for 3 months after relocating to the area. Had a group of 9 (yes 9) people jump ahead of us because they did not want to wait on first tee. We get jumped every time we play here. No marshals, no rules, no enforcement. Mostly younger players that want to smoke their weed and yes, you will smell it, and play their loud music close by when you are teeing off. Absolutely no etiquette. NONE. It’s a fiasco. Saw 2 people about to throw blows in a fight right outside the clubhouse screaming and threatening for 10 minutes and no one inside did anything. This is a hillbilly golf course. Take your chances. Greens are bumpy, fairways have dirt patches, and most do not rake sand traps. People in office and front desk are nice, however.
