All you ever wanted about a golf course you can find at Simi Hills Golf. Including bunkers, ponds, creeks, trees, wood chip, barrancas, pine needle, among other hazards!! Love it. Oh, and affordable!!
Convenient to reach out from San Fernando Valley. Nice view, calm and well harmonized landscaping. Golf range is not too big like Balboa, Van Nuys. Sun roofs weren’t there, so need sun cream and a cap. Medium range ball $9. Overall is good.
First off course was great, well maintained, greens were in great shape. It’s only 2 stars due to Staff. We flew in for a Wedding so a golf game was the only Bachelor party we got to throw the groom. We called to verify 5 players and 1 being a 7 y.o. We got the green light for the 7 y.o. Since February my son was excited to play golf in California. Big deal to him. We flew his clubs in, he hauled them around airports, Ubers, restaurants, etc. We show up to the pro shop and now they have a rule when the 5th player is a junior they can’t play. We explained our situation they continued to say no, the “groom” offered not to play knowing what the 7 y.o. has been through. None the less, I had to explain to my son the importance of following rules and he understood to be respectful. However, I’m pissed and have to keep my cool in front of my son. I own 3 business and sometimes you need to see the needs of others before saying no. Golf has always been a gentleman’s sport to me and needs to stay encouraging to our youth instead of kids sitting in dark rooms playing video games. It’s the courses business to keep this rule but it needs to be looked at.
