What people say about (Owl's Head Golf Club)

Michael Robb

Beautiful course that has been here since the 1960s, and they continue to improve it each year with small landscaping projects. The clubhouse is great for lunch or dinner with amazing views of two ski hills: Owl's Head and Jay Peak to the south on a clear day. Being as it is close the ski hill, there is some decent elevation, makes for fun and challenging holes, Would recommend a cart.

It's a beautiful restaurant perched over the Owl's Head Golf course, which has a very modern but cozy ambiance thanks to the big rustic fireplace. Food is excellent and the service very attentive.

Nice scenic venue and customer focused staff, but the course was far from top notch. Lots of dead grass lying in fairway and uncut pieces of grass. Bunkers had about 2mm of sand before you hit hard dirt. Not sure whether this was a function of excess rain, but other courses in Bromont did not have this issue. My biggest issue was with bunker structure. For some reason, the course has decided to grow a ring of tall grass and fescue type grass within the bunkers. If you fly into the bunkers you may be in sand or bounce into this grass, which is more of a penalty than sand. If you roll into the bunker, you will most likely stop in this mess before it hits the sand. In my 55 years of golf have never seen this and certainly wonder why this was done. If you plan on a trip to Bromont area and have limited rounds planned, Royal Bromont and Chateau Bromont IMHO are nicer golf venues.
