What people say about (Rebsamen Park Golf Course)

Pryce Beech

If I could give zero stars, I would. This golf course is an absolute joke — and not the funny kind. More like the kind that makes you want to demand a refund, a formal apology, and maybe a tetanus shot for walking on their “fairways” (if you can even call them that). First off, the pace of play is a NIGHTMARE. We had an 11:00 AM tee time, didn’t tee off until 11:45, and somehow still didn’t make the turn until nearly 3:00 PM. Why? Because this greedy little money trap packs tee times 6-7 minutes apart like it’s a factory line. Yet still manages to have 20-minute gaps between groups because no one knows what they’re doing. Ever heard of a marshal? No? Clearly not. The conditions were HORRENDOUS. Greens? More like moldy shag carpet. Fairways were either burnt-out dirt patches or overgrown hay fields. Bunkers? Cement. I could’ve broken a wrist trying to chip out of one. I’ve seen better turf at a Walmart parking lot. Let’s not forget the staff, who might actually be allergic to customer service. Rude, dismissive, and looked absolutely annoyed that anyone dared to show up and pay to play on this dump. When I (very politely, mind you) mentioned the delays and conditions, the guy in the pro shop rolled his eyes and told me, “That’s just golf, ma’am.” EXCUSE ME? No sir, that’s just bad management. Oh, and let’s not ignore the price. $80 for 18 holes on what felt like a goat pasture? You’ve got to be out of your greedy little minds. Save your money, your time, and your sanity. This place is a disgrace to the game of golf. I’ll be telling everyone I know to stay far, far away. Honestly, I wouldn’t let my worst enemy tee off here. Absolutely embarrassing.

*Updated 2025* This place continues to deteriorate. I had a couple of hours to come by and practice. Practice greens don’t have any holes cut in them, just flags stuck in the green. I went to hit a few balls on the range and I see a sign that says the range is closed for “maintenance” but there wasn’t a worker in sight. Don’t really know what maintenance a field with posts in it needs. Grass tees on the range are so rarely open I’m not sure they do open them. You can’t book online anymore. But it’s the only 18 hole muni in Little Rock so what are people to do? I would consider Rebsamen as my home course. I play here probably 20-30 times a year. The west nine used to be a great value, but if you want to putt on an actual putting surface these days your only option is the championship course which has its own issues. First of which, you better not be playing by yourself because they all but refuse to give singles tee times. I understand they want to make money and fill up foursomes, but there has to be some give. Second, if you are gonna play twilight hours you better be prepared to wait because the pace of play during twilight is abysmal. They refuse to organize twilight with tee times. They also have no nine hole rate, only 18. So if you don’t have time to play 18, I recommend playing during twilight because you’ll pay less and the pace of play will be so slow that you’ll only be able to play nine. The course itself is beautiful but these issues, some of them a simple fix, often make it not worth the time.

Ngl I was super impressed with everything. From the pro shop to the greens. Was a very beautiful course and was very fun to play. Definitely highly recommend and it won’t break the wallet.
