Hey, it's practically the only game in town but it's a GOOD GAME! I have eaten at the 178 multiple times when my hubby and I have come this way to fish and it's been foolproof every time. Casual kind of bar/lounge atmosphere. Friendly staff and consistently very good food. Hubs had the Prime Rib this time, while I went for the Parmesan crusted Walleye. We started with the fried mushroom appetizer (YUM) Everything was on point and always is. Ted served us once again, although all staff are just wonderful. After a long day on the water, there is nothing like good food served by nice people in a relaxed atmosphere to finish the day with a smile.
First time visit, but this will be our new date spot. We ordered the crab cake appetizer. Kids got the blackened and parmesian crusted walleye. I ordered the medditerrainian chicken with parsnip soup. And my husband had the 14oz ribeye. Everything was absolutely delicious. The price reflects the care put into each dish. We will definitely be back.
I stopped in here for lunch today as I was headed to Bull Shoals-White River State Park. I ordered the Bang Bang Tacos which were quite tasty even if they did fall apart on me. I think the meat was Walleye but I am not sure. After eating these I developed a taste for Walleye. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere which is perfect for date night. The service was decent, but average. Still this was a good experience.
