My husband and I stopped into this little gem of a golf course yesterday to check it out. We decided we'd like to try something new. Though we weren't ready for a golf round, we stopped in to have a beer. As soon as we walked into the restaurant, Mike, who was tending the bar, acknowledged us by saying hello. It was late afternoon, and the golf shop was closed, but Mike filled us in on everything we needed to know--greens fees, specials, like Tuesday--a round of golf is only $20 if you bring a couple of cans of food for donation. What a deal, and you are helping to feed those less fortunate. Brilliant move! We enjoyed our beers, watched some golf on TV, and talked to the locals. Though we had a late lunch and weren't hungry, we did take a look at the menu they offered--reasonably priced, and they even have a fish fry on Friday! How cool is that? The golf course looked great (a very pretty area) with ample parking. We are excited to book a tee time and golf a round on this course. Thanks, Mike, for a great hour or so visiting Quailwood Greens Golf Course! We can't wait to golf. Teri & Logan
What a great place to golf! If you're on a low budget like me, this is THE place to golf. 18 holes, $20 after 2pm and that includes a cart. What a deal. A bucket of balls, $7. They have a decent club house, too. I spoke with Scott in the clubhouse. Super cool guy. He was more than happy to give all the details about the course, memberships, men's club and when food is available. Check out their Tuesday special. I included it in one of my pics.
