What people say about (Phoenix Country Club)

I would like to congratulate this amazing crew that keeps the Arizona Tennis Classic running and specially to ‘Alisha’ who was at the ticket stand at around 19:00hrs. She was so amazing with the ADA people! Despite inclement weather and delays she made our visit and enjoyment to this tournament one of the most pleasant I have been to in a long while! The care, respect, and professionalism she displayed to people with handicap and disabilities was incredible. Thank you Alysha and AZ Tennis Classic! 5 stars as always.

PCC has been around for over 100 years right up 7th Street at Thomas behind an attended gate entry. Very comfortable and civilized vibe in a very well kept surroundings with beautiful flowers everywhere. I played tennis with a member friend, on recently resurfaced courts, which were great! They also have a golf course and driving range and I hear they have great family activities and numerous social and philanthropic events going on constantly. I'm actually considering membership since I am moving to downtown PHX in a few months.

Be cautious about attending events at this venue. First, it's completely unacceptable that a country club and its premier visiting events with paid tickets and serious corporate sponsorships don't pay their front line event workers. It's wonderful that folks are willing to volunteer for an event for love of a sport, but it's not right for them to spend hours in the Arizona sun working for no pay. Pay your workers. End of story. Then, it might be possible for the ushers to be accountable, know the seating chart, and sit guests in the correct seats instead of shuffling folks around at the worst possible times. Drinks and food are reasonably priced, but the burgers were overcooked, lines are long, and we had to restate a very simple drink order about 4 times each time at the bar. The division of labor behind the bar also makes no sense, contributing to this recurring confusion. Restrooms were not inside the club of course, but rather in trailers. They were very, very tight quarters, but at least were clean. Better signage or directions to the event would have also been a nice move. Quite an outrageous experience.
