The course is in rough shape in places, but what isn't during the Covid pandemic. They're doing all they can to keep it open. It has beautiful views and temps around 10° - 15° cooler than Tucson.
Jan 2023 we had an excellent lunch here AGAIN! Linch is always great and summer, the view is outstanding! 2022 We have had a few great lunches here and I’ve given positive reviews, but today the breakfast was not so good. 😭 I ordered a biscuits & gravy with a scrambled egg “on the side” and it came sinking into the gravy spread over biscuits. The biscuits were flat and doughy. My friend’s OE egg was hard, and his toast not toasted, and missing the butter. Not sure why our order was an issue because it was just us and another couple . We’ll stick with the lunch here in the future, and leave breakfast up to the other places we’ve gone in town.🤷♀️
I extremely enjoyed this course. The layout winds it's way naturally through the desert, (no turn after 9). There are no sand bunkers, (looks like they were removed and just let them overgrow) or water hazards, except a small lake on 18. There are multiple tees to chose from to make it challenging for all skill levels. A couple of elevated tees give a nice view of the Arizona landscape. The fairways were in great shape, but be warned, some are very narrow. Bring plenty of balls because there's no retrieving them if you miss the fairway by much. The greens were ok, but could use a little work. Overall, a great day out on the course.
