This was by far the worst golf experience I’ve ever had. We called ahead to confirm that it would be fine to pay for 8 tee times but only use 4 balls for an alternate shot format. The staff assured us it was no problem. However, when we got there and Tim, the course ranger, saw us playing with 4 balls, he approached us and started questioning our setup. We explained the situation to Tim and Denise, the woman at the front desk, who were both incredibly rude and unhelpful. Despite having been given prior approval, they both refused to let us continue playing in the manner we had arranged. Things only got worse from there. After stopping at hole 2, we went back to request a refund, but Denise, with a dismissive attitude, flatly refused. She didn’t even attempt to resolve the situation or offer any sort of compromise. Tim, the ranger, was equally unprofessional, showing no interest in listening to our side or offering a solution. Their behavior was completely unacceptable. The whole experience was a nightmare from start to finish. The course is poorly managed, and the staff, especially Denise and Tim, were rude and unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere that values its customers and knows how to handle situations with courtesy.
Just overall disappointed with the customer service. They market themselves as a good starter course where people can come to be introduced to the game and fall in love with the game. I promise you that is not the case. I scheduled a fun outing with my three brother in laws and their wives. The idea was to play alternate shot so we could all play together and start to get our wives into the game. The guys in the group are all single handicap, we were not going to hold any one up. We called ahead explained our game and got the buy off from the pro shop. We even all brought our own clubs per their instructions (even though that request was equally ridiculous). They happily took our payment with no issues. Even let us tee off. Then on the second hole, they sent a ranger named Tim to pull us off the course, even once we explained what we were doing. Once back in the club house, Denise engaged us in a shouting match insisting she never told us we could play all 8 of us and we were unethical even suggesting we could. The golf course is a joke of a golf course with C- conditions. The four guys are all single digit handicaps and at the point they pulled us off the course we were a full hole ahead. We paid for 2 tee times even though we would only have 4 balls in play. None of us had alcohol and we were not playing music. All of that to say we were following the rules, respectful to the course, and were looking forward to enjoying a Sunday with our spouses. Instead we were forced off the course, told we would not receive a refund, and all our wives were left with a bitter taste in their mouths and we will struggle to get them to play golf again. The course is not friendly to new comers, we were treated awfully and I would never recommend this course. No wonder young people are turning away from the game. Today im ashamed to be called a golfer.
Very nice course for the price ($20 for 9 year 'round), very well taken care of. But there are some negatives: Tee times are packed in like sardines, a lot players are brand new to the game (adults and kids alike) so typical etiquette, pace of play etc. is not to be expected. This par 28 takes nearly 2 hours to play as a result.
