What people say about (TimberCreek Golf Club)

Brandon Harper

Absolutely abysmal! This course is worse than most people’s front yard. Whoever does the greens should do the fairways because that’s how thick the greens are. No sense in reading a putt because you have to launch it to get to the hole. The fairways look like they just let cows mow. I’m pretty sure whoever actually mows just bought a John Deere from Home Depot and just sets it to the highest setting. There’s drainage that is clogged crating swamps in the middle of the fairway. Cart path is optional apparently but I can understand that because it’s cracked and falling apart if you stay on it. And just when you get past all the trash of the course you realize “haven’t seen a beverage cart all day”… no sand to fill divots, no cooler for drinks literally nothing about this place was pleasant. Range was trash, course trash, service trash, just all trash. Finally when we got to the turn we were able to get some drinks and the “cooler” was a large ziplock bag.. I’m not making this up. If this place charged $30 it may be acceptable, but $70 is insane. There’s money being skimmed off the top I guarantee it. Charging this much for what I could cut out of a cow pasture is just ridiculous. I pray everyone reads this review and just stops going to this place, it’s the ONLY way things change.

This course is not worth your money. Pictures are old, this place is not maintained at all. Fairways arent good. Greens are worse then the Fairways. Sand traps are all hard. In my opinion this course is worth 35 bucks at most. Not worth your time and money. Oh and I spent 18 dollars on two beers. All I know is they have a new super intendent and I hope they change this place around.

TimberCreek Golf Club offers a restaurant with no peer in the area for their selection and quality of food. Patti and Rob Bradley really do a superb job for a very reasonable price and, if you haven't given their restaurant a try, do yourself a favor with a visit. They're open daily from 7 to 7. I have breakfast with them weekly and usually attend their special holiday feasts and I have yet to find a local kitchen that does a better job than theirs. Today's Easter Lunch was amazingly good. TimberCreek, had a selection of breads, salads and many vegetables along with New Orleans seafood gumbo, tender baked ham and old-fashioned southern pot roast. They finished it off with a good selection of desserts that included a sinful 5-layer super-chocolate cake and a tremendously scrumptious carrot cake (secret ingredient crushed pineapple) both of which survived a residence on my table top but for only a very short time. All of these offerings, the main meal and desserts, were prepared fresh by hand in the TimberCreek kitchen. I'm telling you it was GOOD. Along with their great food, their personnel are very friendly, accommodating and first-class, all of them. The facilities at TimberCreek are also first-rate, in an upscale setting and open to the general public.
